I believe that everything happens for a reason whether its being in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time. I believe you are at that "place" for a reason. In Macbeth, the witches tell him that he will be king. He doesn't know whether or not to believe them and to work for it or to just sit back and let it happen. I believe that if its fated to happen it will and if not he won't ever be king. "Women are more compassionate and less violent than men"I disagree with this. I believe that its whats in your mind, not your gender, than changed the way you act. Men are expected to show less compassion than women, but there are plenty of women who are just as violent as men. We see this in the way that Lady Macbeth acts. She is an extremely violent woman. She calls upon evil to "unsex her" or make her unfeminine so she can do what she "needs" to do to make Macbeth king. This is showing that she may think she can't be violent as a woman but she still does it regardless.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the second statement you mentioned about violent women. I liked the example from Macbeth about Lady Macbeth telling the universe to make her a sociopath.
