Free Post: Spring Break

For most people when you say "spring break" they think beach or vacation or fun, but for me I thought drivers ed. When I was driven up to the driving school on the first day I though, well it cant be that bad. I was wrong. It was literally so awful and I couldn't be happier that I am done. Everyday, 8-4, I sat in the same room listening to the exact same person teach and reading from the exact same textbook. It just got old. It got old really quick. When thursday came and I passed the test and finished the class I was so happy. I know everyone has to take it but gosh I am praying for everyone who's not done yet.

For the rest of my spring break I wanted to go out and have fun to make up for the fun I could've had but didn't. On Friday I went to the movies. Twice. I saw heaven is for real and Divergent for the second time. I really loved both of those movies. After that I went and ate some sushi with my mom and a friend. I came home and watched new girl on netflix for 3 hours and then went to sleep. The next day my mom and I went to St. Francisville just to hang out. We went to eat at Magnolia Cafe and went into some little antique shops. After that we went to walk around a plantation which was fun. That night I went to the PBS Fair and Perkins Rowe with a friend which was super fun. I think all that fun may have made up for how awful drivers ed was and now that its over I'm done forever.

Fate

"Some things are destined or fated to happen."I agree with this. I believe that everything happens for a reason whether its being in the right place at the right time or the wrong place at the wrong time. I believe you are at that "place" for a reason. In Macbeth, the witches tell him that he will be king. He doesn't know whether or not to believe them and to work for it or to just sit back and let it happen. I believe that if its fated to happen it will and if not he won't ever be king. "Women are more compassionate and less violent than men"I disagree with this. I believe that its whats in your mind, not your gender, than changed the way you act. Men are expected to show less compassion than women, but there are plenty of women who are just as violent as men. We see this in the way that Lady Macbeth acts. She is an extremely violent woman. She calls upon evil to "unsex her" or make her unfeminine so she can do what she "needs" to do to make Macbeth king. This is showing that she may think she can't be violent as a woman but she still does it regardless.
